Fully Loaded Chocolate Bark

This week is National Chocolate Week and so we decided that we better treat ourselves to something chocolatey. Making chocolate bark is really simple and you can add any toppings you like. We’ve opted for popcorn, pretzels and marshmallows all topped with caramel sauce and melted white chocolate. The bark also makes great home made presents and will look really nice bagged up with a pretty ribbon on.


Ingredients (makes x1 tray)
250g dark chocolate
Handful caramel popcorn
Handful pretzels, broken slightly
Handful mini marshmallows
1 tbsp caramel sauce
30g white chocolate

Line a 22cm square tray with greaseproof paper. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30 second blasts, stirring well in-between each blast. Pour the chocolate into the tray and sprinkle over the popcorn, pretzels and marshmallows.

Place the caramel sauce in a piping bag and drizzle over the bark. Melt the white chocolate in the same way as you did earlier and use a spoon to drizzle  it over. Place the bark in the fridge to set for 30 minutes before cutting it into slices.


Why not make your own version by adding different toppings? You could try  white chocolate with freeze-dried raspberries and sprinkles or maybe even dark chocolate with fresh orange zest grated over!
